Dr. Jones has consulted with dairy producers, nutritionists, and veterinarians both across the U.S. and globally on dairy herd performance, nutrition, cow environments, dairy housing, expansion, dairy management, personal SOPs, and cow comfort. He has placed considerable emphasis on housing design to keep cows clean, dry, and comfortable. He has influenced the development of several cow comfort features in barn construction through work with environmental consultants and contractors. He is responsible for the concept and design of the “All Season Hybrid Freestall Barn” a hybrid between Natural Ventilation and Mechanical Positive Pressure Ventilation. Dr. Jones was named Progressive Dairy’s ‘Influential People in Dairy’ in 2023. This is the first ever listing of 25 industry influencers in the USA.
